Hello world. Nice to meet you. Let me introduce myself…my name is Lindsay.
I am 26 years old, I am not perfect. I am a continual work in progress.

I graduated May 2009 from Iowa State University where I was a Division I cheerleader! I have a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health and am an ACE certified personal trainer.   I wouldn’t change my experience as a student athlete for the world.  It was extremely difficult at times, however the memories and experiences have left me with only gratitude in my heart for being given that opportunity.

Often times I am defined as the “cheerleader”. Originally when I began this blog it was to prove to myself that I had more to say then what was being heard. It was my way of saying I am not your stereotypical cheerleader.

Hello World! This is who I am.

However, not being a “cheerleader” anymore has left a huge void in my life. I have come to realize that being a “cheerleader” does not define me, but provides a backbone to the person I have become. For those nearest and dearest to my heart they know that I will be the one always “cheering” them on, lending a  helping hand, or a listening ear. I have been trying to fill that competitive edge with running, finding new forms of exercise & workouts, and experimenting with new healthy foods!  I ran my first half marathon June 2009 or 2010 and will run my 2nd half marathon summer 2013, and am excited to try the Warrior Dash in the future!
